Ever since I was six, I loved to express myself creatively--classical violin, piano, art, dance, acting--basically any right-brained activity I could get my hands on made me the happiest. I was looking for the perfect hair accessory to go with my bridesmaid dress for my best friend's wedding and couldn't find what I was looking for, so I was inspired to make my vision come to life. I had so much fun making it and received so many compliments that I decided to make more!
Where do you go for inspiration (in general and for crafting)?
In general, the people in my life inspire me. Most of my friends are fashionistas and I will see colors, patterns, and accessories on them that make my mind start spinning with ideas. Many of my designs are also influenced by vintage fashion, and the design of my feather fascinators originate from the styles of 1920's flappers. This might sound dorky but I also love going into fabric/craft stores. I can stay in there for hours on end staring at different items and spontaneously coming up with new designs.
