I am fascinated by these maps. They're printed on lightweight, flexible material that is durable and waterproof, and can be stuffed into your pocket or handbag. Practical and pretty--I think I need one for my New York trip next month! The maps are made in Italy and Available at Brooklyn 5 and 10.

It feels like I've been living out of my car for the past couple of weeks! I'm not going to lie, a part of me liked it. I was able to visit some of my favorite places and people--and it was indeed a memorable (and insanely busy) trip. Work took me from SLO to Los Angeles, Balboa to Lake Arrowhead, and finally San Diego. I left a piece of my heart in each place. I can't wait to share more photos with you in the next week or so, but in the meantime, above are a few snaps from this weekend (you can click on the images for location info). Anyways, it's so good to be back. I've missed all of your blogs...I have a lot of catching up to do! My Google Reader "1000+" is staring me in the face...

A good week to you!  J.

If you're still here, thanks for sticking around! The final roundup of images is from one of the highlights of the trip--our stay at Ace Hotel in Belltown. While there for a few days, some of the places we visited around the area were Macrina Bakery, Black Bottle, Pikes Place Market, Watson Kennedy, Fonté (for a caramel and fresh sage latte!), and we were fortunate to catch the CULTS show at The Crocodile (see a few images here). It was a jam-packed and adventurous vacation. Much needed. Thank you for all of your kind words and support over the last two weeks. And thanks again to all who fed me with such stellar recommendations!

Next week, normal posts will resume (not sure what that means!). Hope you all enjoyed your weekend and talk soon I hope. xoxo -j.

I've been drawn to dark interiors lately and Black Bottle hit the spot. With affordable eats, delicious drinks, and only a few steps away from the Ace Hotel, this place was a winner. I'm not going to lie, we went there twice in one day! I highly recommend it.

This was one of my favorite mornings in Seattle. We went to Bastille Café and Bar for a relaxed brunch and followed the meal by walking around the Ballard Farmers Market that was taking place right outside of the café. It was also my favorite morning because the Lavender-Scented Brioche French Toast at Bastille was the best french toast I have had in my life! If you go there for brunch on Sunday, get it...it will knock your socks off!
