About Brown Pigeon
Brown Pigeon hatched in 2009 in a sunny art studio in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. My name is Meagan Osborne. I've been playing with paper, pencils and paint for as long as I can remember. My passion for carving (linoleum, wood & rubber stamps) started about 12 years ago. I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking in 2006 and this expanded my passion into other printing methods (intaglio, screen printing, monoprinting) as well as bookbinding and photography.

My Etsy shop specializes in custom hand-carved rubber stamps. I love being able to turn someone's logo, photograph or even a simple drawing into a stamp that they can use themselves! A lot of my customers use their stamps on personal stationery, packaging for their small business, or invitations and save-the-dates for their wedding! I absolutely love working with people on custom orders. It gives me a chance to personalize what I love to do. It's really fun to see what people make with my stamps too!

Advice for New Etsy-ans

I think the most important thing about running an Etsy shop (besides offering a great product) is having outstanding customer service. I think it's amazing that so many people love to purchase from Etsy sellers. There is definitely a trend to buy handmade right now, and I think (as a seller) offering excellent communication and a great product is an important way to help this marketplace thrive.
