    good god how have i never been to any of these places you are posting about? I've lived in Seattle for 6 years and Ballard specifically for 2. I need to kick my booty into gear and do a walking tour of every hidden street of Ballard. sheesh!

    Ah that candy is amazing! Did you know it is typical Dutch? The second and fourth licorices are called 'krijtjes' (=chalk in Dutch) and 'kokindjes'. Krijtjes are my favorite ;)
