Morning light and fruit--two of my favorite things. Blood oranges have to be one of the prettiest fruits out there, don't you think? Every time I slice one open I am in awe of the brilliant colors. Sometimes I find them hard to eat because of their beauty, but they are oh so delicious... so I do!

i've been pairing market blood oranges with red beets in salads all week and i've got to agree - sometimes i feel like the colors are just too beautiful to eat!
I remember the first time I ate a blood orange, the color totally threw me off and I was even a little scared to try it because of its name. But after one bite I was hooked.
