I am really feeling thankful for good health right about now! Along with Thanksgiving this year came the flu--as you could imagine it wasn't the most ideal for socializing and a hearty meal. Thankfully, I am well on the mend now and looking forward to what's to come in the next month! Is it mind boggling to anyone else that the holiday season is upon us?! Hoping each and every one of you had a lovely Thanksgiving...
P.S. Anyone have a must-try recipe using apples?
i really dig the photos! they're so lovely. i know many blogs tht r doing the apple-related recipes but i dont have a favourite on the top of my head. good to hear you had a great thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteHi Joy! Thank you so much! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving as well. :)
DeleteOh how many memories! these apple trees remind me of my grandparents' ones, when we were kids and we were helping them out with the harvest. thanks for that, I feel moved now! :)

Aw, thanks Debbie. Glad these images could do that for ya! ;)
Deletethese kind of apples are my favorite kind. they always remind me of my childhood back home, where we had those trees in almost every yard around the neighborhood. glad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteYum! I didn't even know what kind of apples they were, but they are delicious! What kind are they? Ha ha

DeleteI can't express how much I love these images. I have been wanting to go apple picking for weeks now... how lovely!
ReplyDeleteI just made an apple/cranberry pie that was quite delicious! There's tons of recipes out there for one -- I just mixed 4 cups of small sliced apples, 2 cups of fresh cranberries, half cup of sugar, 1/4th cup of all-purpose flour, 1/4th cup of packed brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a 1/4th of a teaspoon of nutmeg. Mix that all together in a bowl and throw into your pie crust. :)
Hi Latrina! So kind of you--thank you!
DeleteAnd thanks for the amazing recipe. I love apples and cranberries together, so I'm definitely going to have to give it a try!
Lovely. Who's your model? Is he available for a swim wear shoot?
ReplyDeleteHe is very picky.
Delete(Good one, Josh!) Ja ja ja...
it wasn't me! ha ha ha!
DeleteDear Anonymous, the model's name is Josh and he's quite expensive... Are we talking shorts or speedo?
DeleteThis is ector.
DeleteVery clever, jen, very clever. (Josh being 'picky' while picking apples, right?!)
We could probably start in a speedo then move on to something less formal.
HA HA HA! you are funny. come and visit soon so we can hang! j + j
Deletehappy belated thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteSame to you, Krystal. Thank you!!
DeleteJosh takes apple picking seriously.
ReplyDeleteHa, he sure does. We both do. ;)
DeleteSo glad to hear you're on the mend! I'm afraid we've been battling sickness in this household too. The mister and I meant to go apple picking this year too but I'm afraid the rain set in sooner than we had predicted. Guess we will just have to put it on the list for next year!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Hope you guys feel better soon! Looks like you have a fun outing to look forward to!
DeleteThese photos just makes me want my very own apple tree :)
