Sincerely Jules at The Americana at Brand

I've been organizing my hard drives lately and am slowly realizing how much work I have stored in those tiny little boxes that I haven't shared or blogged about. Work has been a thrill lately. I am constantly learning and trying to become better at what I do and am thankful for a handful of good friends and mentors that have helped me along the way.

Jessica is one of these good friends I speak about. She has inspired me and introduced me to a lot of new creatives and resources through her blog. She introduced me to Julie Sariñana (aka Sincerely Jules) a while back and I fell in love with her sweet demeanor and style. Jules is a creative stylist and fashion blogger.

I have occasionally been working with The Americana at Brand and Project M+--shooting for an ad campaign highlighting different designers and entrepreneurs in the Los Angeles area (you may remember from this post!). These ads run in Los Angeles Magazine. Jules was one of the selected creatives they highlighted and I was fortunate to work with her and get to know her a bit. She sure is a beaut, don't you think?

I visited a couple of places in Los Angeles last weekend that I've been hearing about lately and they did not disappoint. Throw in teaching and hanging with a creative bunch, a mini picnic with amazing people, and a show at the Hollywood Bowl with Stevie Wonder, Janelle Monae, Sharon Jones (and more), and you've got yourself perfection. Looking forward to more summer adventures like such...

COLLECTED LAUNCH

Jessica and Krista know how to throw a party. The Collected launch took place at the 118 WINSTON, a multi purpose space in downtown L.A. designed to explore new ways of integrating art, commerce, and community. The space hosts art exhibits, progressive yoga classes, special events (etc.) all while promoting local and international artists. This particular night the space was filled with art, artists of all kinds, friendly faces, laughter, wine, cheese, hors d'ouevres, and the celebration of the premiere issue of Collected!

I attended the launch party on Friday and got to hang out with my some of my favorite people. Pictures to come!
