the fingerprint is fab, but the art works with music tapes are out of this world. Did you know that erika iris simmons has an etsy she sells prints of those amazing art works?
yes and more yes! love your blog and have been struck by it this morning paging through. i wish i'd have seen that really clever way you "arted" up the christmas ornaments. would have been stoked to do that but it's given me inspiration to frame another type of fragile collectible perhaps too! thanks.
Ms. Hill immortalized on tape, so rad. the ribbons and mustard art are some kind of wonderful too. happiness to find you. ♥
I popped in "A Day Like Any Other" when I was in New York in October. I am pretty obsessed with Bonfim wish ribbons (8 months and counting for mine to fall off) so I loved the exhibit. One of my favorite ribbons that someone had written was "I wish I could sing in an African American Gospel group"...so great! I have a few images on my blog but you have to take them from outside so they have a few reflections (Deane's are way better!). http://blog.nolawest.com/2010/10/wet-in-city.html
Oh, and I also love those colors in the cardboard paintings!
oh, i LOVE the fingerprint, that's amazing! and the first one reminds me of lauren hill, i thought she made a new album, or something.. :)
