WANTED.

Yes, this beautiful piece of art, Fore, is on my "wanted" list. It's by the one and only David (aka Dabito) of Old Brand New. The first edition print sold out mad quickly and I'm patiently waiting to get my pretty little paws on a second ed. print when it comes out (keep your eyes peeled for the next batch!). Along with this, there are a few other things on my "wanted" list...and you can see them on Pennyweight today! So stoked to be part of Elise's Wanted This Week series. Check it  out here.

All of the above makes me happy. Have you tried Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Bar with caramel and black sea salt? It is rocking my world right now! I'm not a chocolate person either so that is saying a lot.

Today I was awakened by the mundane, that tends to happen when I pull my camera out.  I drank water, ate chocolate, tried on a few Warbys (thanks for the tip, Kate!), bought organic cherries, strawberries, and a sage plant at farmers, and celebrated life. My heart is so full of love right now!

I opened a package full of vintage sequins and confetti today! What a way to bring in the weekend. Katrina sure knows how to make my day. Did you see the calling cards she made this week? Genius, right?

Wishing you a restful weekend. What are your plans? I 'm hoping to see a bit more of you next week. -J.

I'm feeling really blessed to live on the central coast right about now. The scenes around these parts are stunning! This weekend, my husband Josh and I were lucky to have a hand in a really gorgeous wedding at The Biltmore in Santa Barbara. We designed boutonnieres, a photo backdrop, signs out of reclaimed wood, and other small touches that added to the wedding's charm. The wedding was photographed by the lovely Jasmine Star--can't wait to see the images! I'm loving this time of year, what about you?

ALOHA SUNDAY SUPPLY CO.

I stumbled across this post a few days before I made my way down to San Diego. I had to visit (thanks for the tip Jenny!). Aloha Sunday Supply Company is a retail concept conceived by Hawaii-born surfer Kahana Kalama and friends. I loved the vibe of the store, the reasonably priced merch (such rad clothing and accessories for men and women), and especially the interior of the space which was largely constructed by reclaimed wood and salvaged materials from Northern Oregon. If you're in North Park, do stop in to shop and say hello....they're friendly in there.

I'd love to sit at The Salk Institute for an entire day. I'd pack a breakfast, lunch, and dinner...watch the sun rise, the clouds run, the light change, the shadows shift, and the sun set. Last week, I had a simple taste of that day.

It feels like I've been living out of my car for the past couple of weeks! I'm not going to lie, a part of me liked it. I was able to visit some of my favorite places and people--and it was indeed a memorable (and insanely busy) trip. Work took me from SLO to Los Angeles, Balboa to Lake Arrowhead, and finally San Diego. I left a piece of my heart in each place. I can't wait to share more photos with you in the next week or so, but in the meantime, above are a few snaps from this weekend (you can click on the images for location info). Anyways, it's so good to be back. I've missed all of your blogs...I have a lot of catching up to do! My Google Reader "1000+" is staring me in the face...

A good week to you!  J.
