anam cré feeds the hungry

amy, josh, and i briefly stopped at anam cré the other night so josh could throw a bowl and amy and i could paint! they were having a super cool event where they opened their wheels to the public to throw bowls that are then painted (by volunteers), fired, and donated to be sold at an empty bowls event.

What is Empty Bowls?
For a donation of $20 participants get to choose a beautiful handmade bowl, enjoy a simple meal of gourmet soup and bread, and take home the bowl as a reminder of the meal’s purpose to help feed the hungry in the community.
