i was born in colorado to two hippy horse-shoers.
my earliest memories include a pony named nutmeg and being chased by a rooster.
at age 3 my family and i loaded up our brown vw bus and moved to michigan. we settled down in an old farm house (which came with 2 appaloosas) in a town so small it had only 1 stop light. a wholesome childhood.
and it's there i owe credit for my unrefined but endearing midwestern accent.
the next seven years after graduating high school i spent in alaska. i fell in love. both with alaska and with a boy name colin.
as of late i dwell in seattle, with my colin and our two dogs, goose and cowboy. our plan is to complete graduate school and move back to alaska. to live in the mountains. ski in the winter, garden in the summer, and raise a family.
your creations are lovely! what inspires you?
my big inspiration is the whimsy of nature. and also architecture. i literally spend hours and hours each week gawking at magnolia trees, teeny tiny musk hyacinths, roof pitches, and lead pane windows while i'm walking with my dogs through quaint seattle.
